Our youth chairperson, Lucy Jardim Andrade has done a phenomenal job dedicating time, love, and effort to our St Martin de Porres interact club at the St. Martin de Porres Academy in New Haven. Here is their final project of the year. Where will these cinch-sacks go? These are filled with essential items for children taken from at risk homes into the state’s care. They are filled with basic need items most likely left behind. She had the kids come up with a list of personal necessities so that all basic hygiene needs are met when children are displaced from an unsafe environment. BIC, Orange Rotary Club, and Derby-Shelton Rotary contributed items to this project. Thank you Lucy for your leadership!
