2015 Winners

The Derby/Shelton Rotary Club has made some major changes to its scholarship program this year in moving moving four of the scholarships from annual to quadrennial scholarships. The change began in 2014 with the Martin Chromik Scholarship. In succeeding years, the George Tierney (2015) Cas Turaj (2016) Harry Fowler, Jr. (2017) will be awarded and the cycle will perpetuate itself in the future.

The Club annually awards the scholarships to worthy students in Derby and Shelton High School. In addition to the four $10,000 scholarships, the Club awards one-year scholarships valued at either $1,750 or $2,000 per year depending on the scholarship.

Funds for this worthwhile project are derived from an endowment fund built through the club's annual fund raising auction. There are three scholarships reserved for students in Derby High School and four for those at Shelton High School. Three others may be awarded to a student from either school. Scholarship applications are made available from the Guidance Departments at the respective schools early in the year. Follow the links below to learn more about each scholarship and the past winners.
