August fellowship meeting encourages Rotarians to share those special experiences that stand out as
their “Rotary Moment.” Sharing these personal stories can go much farther, sometimes, than facts and
figures in attracting prospective members.
The ask, share your Rotary moment! What was the success story that transformed you from being a
member of the club into being a Rotarian.
The goal: by sharing these stories, you may relate to someone else. That person may be on the fence
about joining or maybe a new member who will find common ground otherwise may not be discovered
with an existing member.
Some details: these stories need not be more than a 3 – 5 minute read. They will be posted with your
name and year you joined rotary. I hope to have at least half the club submit their moments! Please

By submitting a story you are giving permission for the Derby-Shelton Rotary Club to post your name,
Rotary year, and story on its website as well as social media outlets.
