Rotarians Celebrate the Passing of the Gavel

Two Presidents

The ending of one Rotary year and the beginning of another is always a time for reflection, celebration and optimism at the Derby -Shelton Rotary Club. And on June 28 the Club celebrated the outstanding Rotary year under the leadership of President Kim Ryan-Caro and the passing of the gavel to incoming President Lucy Andrade at the Brownson Country Club. The Club was also joined by Ron Webb, Rotary District Foundation Chair and Chip Marsh, Chair of the Paul Harris Society for remarks and some special presentations.

Following an excellent meal prepared by the staff at Brownson County Club, the official meeting got underway.

Chip gave some background information about the work of the Foundation and the Paul Harris Society before presenting Paul Harris Society membership certificates and pins to Carolyn Dow and Kim Ryan Caro. Judy Gulish was also recognized though she was not at the meeting. Ron Webb then presented Paul Harris multiple award pins to Carolyn, Kim, and Doug LoMonte. Marge Domorod and Tom Wilson were also recognized but unable to attend.
