The Derby-Shelton Rotary Club is proud to announce that its annual Flags for Heroes program is officially underway. This cherished initiative honors local heroes with a breathtaking display of American flags while raising funds that go directly back into the Derby and Shelton communities.
This year, thanks to generous community support, the Rotary Club has donated $2,500 each to both the Derby and Shelton Fire Departments. These funds were used to purchase Seek Fire Pro Thermal Imager Cameras, vital tools that significantly enhance firefighter safety and effectiveness in emergency situations.
What do these cameras do?
The Seek Fire Pro Thermal Imager Camera is a compact, high-resolution device designed for firefighters to detect heat sources and navigate through smoke-filled environments. It enables first responders to quickly locate people trapped in a fire, identify hotspots, and monitor structural integrity—all in real-time. This technology helps save lives, prevent injuries, and reduce property damage during critical operations.
