Derby/Shelton Rotary Club
Rotary Bowling Benefits Umbrella
The Derby/Shelton Rotary Club was well represented in the
annual Bowl-a-thon for The Umbrella, the Valley's shelter for victims of
Domestic Violence. The Club raised over $600 to support the cause while not
exactly burning up the lanes. Doug Lomonte started slowly, but came on to
top the Rotarian team with a modest score of 127 in the first of two games.
Dave Grant Jr. had a precarious lead in the ninth frame of the second game
before the time clock expired and bowling ended. Other Rotary bowlers
inculded Captain Dave Grant Sr., Jack Walsh, Ed Sheehy and his wife Jodi.
