The
Derby/Shelton Rotary Club paused for a night to celebrate a remarkable year
of achievement under the direction of outgoing President Linda Homes-Hannon
and to prepare for another great year under incoming (and former!!)
President David Grant at the 2009 installation held at Grant's beautiful
home along the banks of the Housatonic River in Shelton. Demonstrating true
"service above self", Grant was even seen dishing out the food to fellow
Rotarians in the buffet line!

Assistant District Governor Ed Davies was on hand and assisted Linda in handing out three special Paul Harris Fellow awards to Rotarians Gary Sochrin, Pat Tarasovic and Pat Carey for their incredible years of service to the club.
She also presented the Huntington Branch Library with a Paul Harris Fellow
for their cooperative work with Rotary in fostering literacy in the area..

Sylvia Rodrigues was presented with the service Above Self" Award, and Jack
Walsh was named "Rotarian of the Year".
